The Debut of "My Digital Studio"

Here's something new I just whipped up to share with you! This is one of the projects I just made using Stampin' Up's latest inovation in scrapbooking... My Digital Studio. Yes, Stampin' Up has designed their own digital scrapbooking software featuring their exclusive colors and stamp designs! This wonderful brand-new product goes on sale to customers beginning October 1st and is featured in the Holiday Mini Catalog (see link to the right).  The pictures are from my trip to the Stampin' Up offices and distribution center in Riverton, Utah in July, 2008.  Yes, they actually have an atrium with trickling water over rocks surrounded by small tables and chairs for the employees to use when they are on break.  Now, that would certainly inspire me at work!

Holiday Inspiration

Here is a card to get you in the Holiday mood!  It features old olive, chocolate chip, and naturals ivory cardstock and images from new stamp sets in the 2009 - 2010 Stampin' Up Catalog & Idea Book (see link to the right).  The central image featuring the cardinal is from the Level 1 hostess set Holiday Best.  The background layer was stamped with an image from the new set Autumn Days.  For the pinecone images I used the technique where I colored directly onto the rubber with my Stampin' Write markers and "huffed" on the stamp to moisten it before applying the image to the cardstock.  For the "Merry Christmas" stamp, I first applied old olive ink to the entire image.  Then I used a blender pen to remove the old olive ink from the cardinal and "Merry Christmas" portions of the rubber image.  I used a real red Stampin' Write marker to color these two portions of the stamp and "huffed" on the image before stamping it onto the cardstock.  This image was then punched out using the wide oval punch.  I paper pierced the chocolate chip cardstock strip with the template from my mat pack and used the slit punch on the corners of the old olive layer so that the pinecone background piece would slide in and give the appearance of photo corners.  Other accents I used to embellish this card were gold brads and real red 1/4" grosgrain ribbon.
I hope this card has inspired you to start thinking about the upcoming holidays.  Let me know if you are interested in purchasing supplies to make your own Christmas cards!  Or, if you are like me and want it ALL... you can have a workshop and earn FREE products!

Razzle Dazzle

Here's another card I made using my new "In Color" Stampin' Write Markers.  The main image is from the set Razzle Dazzle.  I used the direct to rubber technique with the markers.  Cardstock colors are crushed curry, bermuda bay, and melon mambo.  The background on the crushed curry layer was stamped using an image from Boho Backgrounds.  I also did some freehand paper piercing on the strip of bermuda bay cardstock.

Hello!

This card features two of the new "In Colors" and Hello Again, one of the new stamp sets from the 2009-2010 Stampin' Up Idea Book and Catalog.  Demonstrators who attended the Stampin' Up Convention this year in Salt Lake City received this stamp set free!  I used one of the stamps from the Sprinkles set for the background on Crushed Curry cardstock.  Melon Mambo cardstock is edged with the scallop border punch behind the layer of whisper white with the flowers.  I used Green Galore to highlight the "hello" sentiment.  I used the direct to rubber technique to achieve the multi-colored images with my new "in color" markers .  Did you realize that Stampin' Up is now offering  in a set of markers in the new "In Colors"?!
I love my new "In Color" markers!  They make this technique so easy and yield awesome results!

A "Viola" Birthday Wish!

Here is the infamous chef from the Stampin' Up set Viola.  He's busy wishing an old family friend a happy birthday!  His ensamble consists of  whisper white, basic black, and real red cardstock.  "Happy Birthday" was popped after being punched out with the curly label punch.  The following Stampin' Write markers were used to color the cake, etc.:   real red, pretty in pink, close to cocoa, only orange, going gray, ballet blue, and blush blossom.  The background real red card layer was randomly stamped with one of the stamps from the set Sprinkles.  In case you're wondering, this fellow was a hit with the birthday girl!

Out of the Box

Here's a little card I made using the level 1 hostess set Out of the Box and the new In Colors Crushed Curry and Rich Razzleberry.  I cut out the flower and popped it up with a stampin' dimensional.  I like the effect of ticket corner punch on the main image, too.

Meet Little Susie Stamper!

Here she is!  My prized souvenier from the 2009 Stampin' Up Convention:  Little Susie Stamper.  Isn't she cute?!  Stampin' Up has partnered with Build-a-Bear Workshop for several new exclusive products:   stamp sets, designer series papers, and Sizzix dies.  (Click on the link to the right for details on each product in the line.)  As a result of this awesome partnership, Stampin' Up offered this adorable bear to demonstrators who attended the convention in Salt Lake City, complete with apron and trademark paw:

After convention many demonstrators flocked to the nearby mall where we found a Build-a-Bear store and we just had to accessorize our bears!  As you can see, my bear is modeling an outfit in my favorite color, accented by a bow made from exclusive real red polka dot Stampin' Up ribbon.  Since Little Susie Stamper wants to be an independent demonstrator for Stampin' Up when she grows up, she needed to get her own copies of the Stampin' Up catalogs, in her own size of course!
So, what do you think of my new little friend?

Happy Birthday!

Here's another card using the combination of Admit It and Circle Circus. Since I didn't have rick-rack in the color I wanted to accent with, I made it using Bermuda Bay cardstock and my scallop border punch. I like this color combination... using the new "In Colors": Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay, and Rich Razzleberry.
