Using Fabric

Have you heard the buzz???  In the upcoming Holiday Mini Catalog that starts on September 1st Stampin' Up will be offering fabric that matches their exclusive line of papers and stamps!!!!!  How exciting is that?!?!  I wanted to share some ideas for using the fabric and give you a sneak peak at the designs so read on...

Make a goodie bag:

Pictures from Riverton

I want to share some more photos from my trip to the home office of Stampin' Up in Riverton, Utah.  They have an area to tour that includes rooms decorated using various Stampin' Up products.  Below is a picture of a table decorated for a party:

They also featured the exclusive Stampin' Up stencils on a wall, each accented with a frame:

Stampin' Up's Decor Elements have been used on the cork board behind the desk to make the calendar and to label the pots in this picture:

Ahhhh.... Serenity on Sunday

I think this picture of the atrium at Stampin' Up's home office in Riverton, Utah.  It looks so relaxing and really reminds me of serenity.  The gentle sounds of trickling water over rocks was just so relaxing when I visited there.

The rock waterfall was below the railing on the lower level from where this picture of me was taken:

Sugar and Spice...

Here is a picture of the goodies that awaited all demonstrators at the Stampin' Up offices:

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!  Doesn't it all look delicious!?!   Check out the close-ups:

 

It all looks good enough to eat, wouldn't you agree?  But did you notice that it's all made out of Stampin' Up's color coordinated cardstock, ribbons, and buttons!?!  I was certainly in awe of the talent of the designers employeed by Stampin' Up!

2010 Stampin' Up Convention

I just got home from the 2010 Stampin' Up Convention in Salt Lake City.  It was simply AMAZING!!!  Below is a picture of this year's theme:  Share What You Love.  I hope that you all can feel the love that I have for this craft as I share it with all of you!

Here is a picture of my best friend and downline Dee and myself at the Stampin' Up home offices, just inside the Legacy Room.  Displays of Stampin' Up products and creations as well as the history of the company are displayed within this room.  The framed picture features Stampin' Up's Statement of the Heart:

and share what we love,

as we help others enjoy creativity

 and worthwhile accomplishments...

in this we make a difference.

At the home office they also have a huge blackboard where they are keeping a tally of the number of new recruits who join in 2010.  I estimate that my friend Sharon is counted on that board, as she just joined the Stampin' Up family in June! 

I received a special reward of sorts since I had a new recruit in June:  breakfast with Shelli Gardner (CEO and co-founder of Stampin' Up)!!!  Below is a picture of my new friends and I at that breakfast:

After 4 funfilled days at the annual Stampin' Up convention the only thing that could have made the trip any better was to get some free Stampin' Up toys... and ... guess what?!?!  All demonstrators who stayed until tht last minute of convention received some awesome products from the new Holiday Mini Catalog which won't be available until September 1st!!!  How awesome is that?!

Meet Little Susie Stamper!

Here she is!  My prized souvenier from the 2009 Stampin' Up Convention:  Little Susie Stamper.  Isn't she cute?!  Stampin' Up has partnered with Build-a-Bear Workshop for several new exclusive products:   stamp sets, designer series papers, and Sizzix dies.  (Click on the link to the right for details on each product in the line.)  As a result of this awesome partnership, Stampin' Up offered this adorable bear to demonstrators who attended the convention in Salt Lake City, complete with apron and trademark paw:

After convention many demonstrators flocked to the nearby mall where we found a Build-a-Bear store and we just had to accessorize our bears!  As you can see, my bear is modeling an outfit in my favorite color, accented by a bow made from exclusive real red polka dot Stampin' Up ribbon.  Since Little Susie Stamper wants to be an independent demonstrator for Stampin' Up when she grows up, she needed to get her own copies of the Stampin' Up catalogs, in her own size of course!

Lots of Bots

Here is another card I turned in at the Stampin' Up convention in Salt Lake City earlier this month. Sometimes the company will display cards that have been submitted by demonstrators on their demonstrator website or on the display boards at the annual convention. This year I found four of my card samples on the display boards that I had submitted! It was such an honor that Stampin' Up thought my artwork was good enough to be shared with all of the other demonstrators who were there to see it! Sue

An Awesome Trip!

I've just returned from the annual Stampin' Up! convention in Salt Lake City, UT & I had a GREAT time! Stampin' Up! is celebrating their 20th year in business this year... isn't that amazing?!

While I was out there, I even got to visit Stampin' Up!'s home office in Riverton, UT. It was very cool!

In case you haven't heard, Stampin' Up! just released their newest catalog & idea book today and they're having a SALE already! They are offering 15% off of several brand NEW stamp sets! There are several more new product lines which will be featured this fall: Sizzix dies that match/coordinate with some of Stampin' Up!'s exclusive stamp sets; new vinyl decorator pieces from their Decor Elements line that match some of Stampin' Up!'s most popular stamp designs (new colors to be added soon!); 24/7 online ordering options that will be available this Fall.

I learned new techniques, got to play with new punches, and received 4 NEW stamp sets, one of which was a gift to all demonstrators from UPS. Needless to say, all of us were very excited when this surprise was revealed!
